History

The von Rotenfluh's, a Swiss farming family, built the original barn, stone house and millhouse in 1759 and 1768, respectively. The land was passed down and traded to farmers throughout the years.
In the late 1990s, Stu and Sherry Kahn purchased the property with a vision of creating a holistic retreat and equestrian center. They secured a Special Use Permit in 2005 from the Town of Clinton to operate commercially under the Town’s Conference Center designation. Over the last two decades, this commercial use has continued under stewardship of different owners through to present day.
Our vision is to thoughtfully enhance the existing conference center site and expand our offerings for “quiet” restorative programming and immersive experiences that merge wellness and sustainability.

We plan to do this through a careful collection of spaces, building upon existing structures and programs, and designed with environmental responsibility as top priority.
